CGI Product Photography

Photorealistic product images, built entirely in 3D.

I create CGI product photography that is indistinguishable from studio-shot images.

Same lighting principles, same attention to detail, same creative standard -- but with possibilities a camera cannot offer.

Built in Blender. London-based.

What is CGI Product Photography?

CGI product photography uses 3D modelling and rendering to create product images that look like real photographs. The product is built digitally, textured with real-world materials, lit in a virtual studio, and rendered at any resolution.

The result: images with the quality of a professional photoshoot , without needing the physical product in front of a camera.

## Section: Jewellery CGI

Jewellery CGI & 3D Rendering

Photorealistic 3D jewellery rendering for luxury brands. Rings, necklaces, earrings, bracelets -- modelled and rendered with accurate metal finishes, gemstone refraction, and diamond caustics.

Jewellery CGI is ideal for:

- Products still in development (render before you manufacture)

- Colour and material variants (one model, unlimited finishes)

- Impossible angles (inside a stone setting, underneath a clasp)

- Campaign environments (your ring floating above marble, your necklace in a silk cascade)

- E-commerce packshots at scale (consistent renders without a reshoot per piece)

I light virtual jewellery the same way I light real jewellery. The renders look right because the person making them knows what right looks like through a lens.

Watch CGI

Watches are precision instruments and the images need to match.

I build detailed 3D models -- dials, hands, indices, bezels, case finishing, strap texture, crown knurling -- and render them with controlled studio lighting.

Watch CGI is ideal for:

- Hero images for product launches

- Exploded views showing the movement

- 360-degree interactive product viewers

- Social media animations and Reels content

- Colour variants and limited edition visualisation

Photography + CGI: Why It Matters

Most brands hire a photographer and a separate CGI studio. The results rarely match. The gold tone drifts. The lighting feels different.

The mood shifts between mediums.

I do both. I photograph your products in studio and render them in 3D.

Same person, same eye, same creative decisions.

This is not a common combination. Most photographers do not work in 3D.

Most CGI studios have never held a camera professionally. I do both, and the consistency shows.

How CGI Product Photography Works

1. Reference: You send product photos, CAD files, or the physical product.

2. Modelling: I build a precise 3D model in Blender.

3. Texturing: Real-world materials applied -- metal finishes, gemstone properties, surface detail.

4. Lighting: Virtual studio setup matching the look and feel of a real photoshoot.

5. Rendering: High-resolution output at any angle, any resolution.

6. Post-production: Final colour grading and compositing. Delivered print and web ready.

The 3D model is yours to keep. Future renders, new angles, and animation are fast and cost-effective because the model already exists.

When to Use CGI vs Photography

Photography when:

- You want the authentic, tangible quality of a real object under real light

- You need lifestyle or model photography

- The product has complex organic textures that are faster to photograph than model

CGI when:

- The product doesn't physically exist yet

- You need unlimited colour or material variations

- You want impossible angles or environments

- You need 360-degree spins or interactive product viewers

- You want animation or motion content

Both when:

- You want maximum creative flexibility with visual consistency

- You need a campaign that spans stills, renders, and video

Common Questions

**Q: How much does CGI product photography cost?**

Most CGI projects fall between £3,000 and £15,000. Simple packshot renders start lower. Complex animated campaigns go higher. I scope every project individually and present tiered options.

**Q: How long does a CGI render take?**

A single product from reference to final render: 7-15 business days. Subsequent renders of the same product are much faster because the model already exists.

**Q: Do I need to send the product?**

Not always. I can work from detailed photographs, technical drawings, or CAD files. For the most accurate result, sending the physical product for reference is ideal -- but not required.

**Q: What software do you use?**

Blender -- open-source, industry-standard 3D software. Rendering in Cycles (photorealistic ray tracing) or Eevee (real-time) depending on the project.

**Q: Can you also photograph my products?**

Yes. That is the whole point. I photograph products and render them in CGI. Same person, same look.Jewellery photography | Watch photography

**Q: Can you create animations from the 3D models?**

Yes. Once a product is modelled, it can be animated. [Link: 3D product animation](/3d-product-animation)

**Q: Do you offer 3D jewellery rendering services?**

Yes. I specialise in photorealistic 3D jewellery rendering -- rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets built in Blender with accurate materials, gemstone refraction, and studio-quality lighting. The renders are indistinguishable from photographs.
